1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Titleblock collects, uses and protects personal information when you use the Titleblock website and services.
Titleblock is operated by TMC Design, a registered business name of a sole trader based in Ireland. TMC Design processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information that you provide when creating or using an account, including your name, email address, profile information, project details, bids, messages and other information you submit through the service.
We may also collect technical information necessary to operate, secure and improve the service, such as IP address, browser and device information, timestamps and service activity.
3. Project files and communications
Titleblock may store project descriptions, files, bids, milestone information, delivery records and messages exchanged through the platform.
This information may be processed as necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction records, investigate disputes, prevent misuse and support users.
4. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- create and manage user accounts;
- operate projects, bids, milestones and messaging;
- facilitate payments and payouts;
- send service-related emails and notifications;
- provide support and investigate disputes;
- detect fraud, abuse and security threats;
- maintain and improve Titleblock; and
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
5. Legal bases for processing
Depending on the circumstances, we process personal information because it is necessary to provide the service or perform a contract, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and protecting Titleblock, because we must comply with a legal obligation, or because you have given consent where consent is required.
6. Payments
Payments and payouts are processed using third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Payment providers may collect and process payment, banking, identity and verification information directly in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Titleblock does not need to store complete payment card details where those details are handled directly by the payment provider.
7. Service providers
We may use service providers to host and operate Titleblock, provide databases, process payments, send emails, maintain security and provide other infrastructure required to operate the service.
These providers may process personal information only where necessary to provide their services or as otherwise permitted by law.
8. Sharing information with other users
Information you choose to include in a public profile, project or bid may be visible to other users as indicated by the platform. Information necessary for a project may also be shared between the relevant client and freelancer.
9. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal data.
10. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on why the information is required.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
12. Your data protection rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority.
13. Cookies and similar technologies
Titleblock may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security and operation of the service. If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential technologies are introduced, additional information and consent controls may be provided where required.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
